Bruno.

A wonderful friend! Loyal, sweet, gentle with those he loves and a very happy dog.

Bruno is thought to be a cross Labrador/Boerboel and aged between 2 & 3.

We brought Bruno into our home in January and since he has been a joy. It is heart-breaking to be looking for a new home, but circumstances do not allow for us to keep him and give him the space and life he deserves.

We are looking for a loving home, that will give Bruno lots of love, space and attention.

Bruno is not social and does not get on with other dogs. Through a couple of Dogtown behaviourist sessions, it has been identified that Bruno could be socialised and would benefit from having a female companion. However, this would only be achievable through a committed socialising program.

Boerboels are notoriously good watch dogs, and Bruno is no expectation, his loyalty knows no bounds. He is soft and gentle in nature with his owners, particularity when he is tired or has just woken up from a nap and is still drowsy.

He loves to play and requires daily simulation whether it be a game of search and find, tug of war or a walk (in a controlled in environment away from other dogs).

Good with domestic workers and gardeners when introduced correctly.

Bruno has had an unfortunate start to life, being neglected and given very little attention as a puppy. This meant he did not know how to play and some people misunderstood him to be ill disciplined. However, the progress we have seen since with him this year through love, attention and patience has been astounding. He is truly a magnificent dog, and we would love to keep him if the situation allowed, but we believe it is in his best interest to find a family with the resources to give him what he deserves.

Bruno is the true epitome of ‘man’s best friend’.
