Hi there, I am Charlotte. My caregiver calls me a cautious canine but I see myself more of a couch potato who loves to just chill wherever my human is. Most of the time I’m a very laid back and relaxed girl, and my favourite pass time is napping and chewing yummy chews.
However, my downfall is I’m really fearful of thunderstorms and when I’m alone I sometimes hurt myself to get away from the noise. I feel so much safer in a home where there are people who will sit with me when I’m frightened. I have a special shirt that I wear when the scary storm starts, and I have my own doggie den where I can go and lie down when I’m scared.
My garden at Dogtown was built specially for me, so I can’t hurt myself when Im scared. If I had a loving family who could help me through the thunderstorms it would be much much better because you see as long as I can see that someone is with me, I can cope. My caregiver says when I go to my forever home she will teach my person everything they need to know about how to help me get through the scary times.
I would love to go to a home where there are other doggies, because I’m a very social, and I like ALL types of dogs, I even got licked in the eye by a puppy the other day…. eeeew. I am not a fan of cats though… yuck. I am gentle enough to be homed with tiny humans so if you have kids, no problem
I’m just the perfect companion dog and I have a really chilled out, calm personality. If you would like to be my BFF, please let the humans at Dogtown know so that I can pack my suitcase and come to my forever home! I come with a special t-shirt to wear in the storms and some special meds to help me also.
The high veld storms have already started and although Dogtown does their best to keep me safe and happy, they can’t be with me throughout the evening, when these pesky storms seem to come and I get really scared. I know I would be much better in your home, with you loving and caring for me, so please, please help me find a very special home where I can weather the storms. (You see what I did there?)
I have a great sense of humour too. So what are you waiting for? Please come and meet me.
