Lucy is a mixed breed, and is 11 months old. We adopted her from a family who rescued her from a township in Hout Bay. She is very submissive, playful, and loves being around people. She adores her companion, named Axle, who is a German Shepherd Cross, and he is currently 1 year and 6 months. She dislikes being away from him. She howls when he is not around. We hoping that the the next potential family would have a fellow companion to be around, but maybe it would be better for Axle to be re-homed with her.
Axle is an overly energetic. He gets quite a bit excited around people, and loves attention. He is also very protective over Lucy and me. Lucy and Axle however do need a bit of behavioural training. They are however house trained, in terms of number one’s and two’s, but they use to being on the couch. As for sleeping arrangements, we have spoilt them…. they still sleep with my husband and I in the house.
My husband and I would be extremely heartsore to see them go, especially Axle, whom we’ve had since he was 8 weeks old. But we would be willing to part with them if there is a family that can be more active with them, and spend much more time with them. At the moment we both have been inundated with work and life’s pressures, that it has unfortunately taken our time away from them.
They are both sterilised, vaccinated & dewormed. They are fearful of storms so need to be part of a family that understands this fear.
