Nala is a female Africanis, around 5 months old.
She was rescued from the township at +/-4 weeks old, with a severely injured paw. She was immediately taken for medical care, and we feared that her leg may have to be amputated due to the severity of her injuries.
But after 2 months in a cast, and bi-weekly visits to the vet, she has recovered fully!!
She’s highly intelligent and responds well to commands. She has an incredibly strong will, and can be like a defiant teenager at times!!
She’s been in our foster care since her rescue, and is very comfortable with my kids (9 and 2 yrs) and my Jack Russell. However, she hasn’t been introduced to cats.
As mentioned, she responds well to commands, but does have a stubborn streak 😏! An ideal family match for her, would be one that has time to continue her training, and has a firm obedience approach. A plus will be with existing resident dog/s, as she’s never known life without a furry companion.
She’s energetic, playful and absolutely loves snuggling up on your lap! She has long legs like a supermodel, and I expect her to be a small to medium height when she’s fully grown.
Already, at her young age, she’s displaying a fearless approach to life, and she protects our property like a lion!! She’s very loyal, and is the first to stand in between us, and what she sees as a threat.
