Hello world! My name is Sammy. I had some trouble in my foster home where I was before, but thankfully the humans at Dogtown managed to make a plan to take me in and help me get back on the right track.
In my foster home I lived with other dogs and even cats! That was a long time ago though, so if my new forever family have cats, I would need a refresher course please. I am pretty social with other dogs so if my new family have other dogs, I am sure we can make it work!
My downfall is that I am sometimes a bit vocal when meeting strangers, which is why people never take a second look at me But once I am out and about in our play-area or the walking trails, that becomes a thing of the past. In a home environment I am sure that would be a thing of the past.
Let me tell you about thing I love. Well firstly treats, lots of treats! I also love going on walks and even taking a dip in the pool (that’s the labrador in me).
Medically I am classified as special needs, but please don’t let that put you off. I am under the care of a specialist vet and he is doing wonders for me. I am on a host of medication which really help me too, so everything is under control. I have the big C, yep, cancer. And in the worst place too, in my tongue
Sometimes I have days when I am sore and grumpy, but my caregivers spoil me with soft food and roast chicken which makes everything better.
I know it’s a big ask, but please consider adopting me and giving me a couch to spend my golden years on. I promise I am willing to give you my all
