Hi there, my name is Violet. I am what they call a gentle-giant. Yup, I’m a big girl with an even bigger heart. My brother and I were surrendered because our family had to move and could not take us with them. We were devastated and to make matters worse, not long after we moved in at Dogtown, my brother passed away from cancer. My big heart broke into a million little pieces..
I would love to be in a home of my own, I am no spring chicken but don’t be fooled by my age, I’m still very young at heart. I love cuddles and if your lap is big enough, I will try and sit there I love affection and being brushed and groomed is the highlight of my day. I love being around people and really don’t like being left alone, my big-gentle-giant heart feels sad when I am alone I like chomping on a hoove or chewy and I love every person I meet I also enjoy short strolls just to get some fresh air and check out the neighbourhood.
If I could send a letter to Santa explaining my perfect home, it would be something along the lines of this:
Dear Santa, I’ve been a good girl all year round. Please send me a family, to keep me safe and sound. But please Santa this new home of mine .. please don’t let there be a feline, for cats and I don’t see eye to eye, so a cat-less home would be best if you could try. Small dogs are also not my best, so please don’t put that weight on my chest. Perhaps a big oldie like my brother would be nice, or even a fur-kid less home would suffice. Tiny humans I might knock over, unintentionally but my paws are enourmous. Oh please dear Santa see what you can do, I’m pinning all my hopes on you, for a forever family to love me each day, please can you send a family my way. Love, Violet.
