From Rescue Puppy to Forever Home: Nala’s Journey

Finding a new home for Nala, a mixed power breed, wasn’t going to be easy.

Nala was rescued as a tiny, vulnerable puppy and nursed back to health by a loving foster family who gave her exactly what she needed: care, patience and a safe place to grow.

She thrived in their care and was deeply loved. But when her foster family had to relocate, they could no longer keep her. Finding a new home for Nala, a mixed power breed, wasn’t going to be easy.

We networked high and low, hoping the right family would come along and see the wonderful dog behind the label. But despite our efforts, the enquiries simply weren’t coming.

Then, one day, a family got in touch.

They already had a female dog who was around Nala’s age and looked remarkably similar. Two young female dogs of a similar age? We had our concerns. But we arranged a meet and greet and hoped for the best.

From the very first moment they met, something just clicked.

Nala and her new best friend hit it off immediately, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Today, the two are inseparable. We regularly receive updates, and they tell the same story every time: playing, tumbling, chasing, wrestling and generally keeping each other very busy.

Even the family cat has joined the fun, getting caught up in the occasional tumble with the two of them.

Peaceful moments are apparently few and far between in this household, but there is no shortage of love, laughter and companionship.

Nala finally has what we had been searching so hard to find for her: a home where she belongs, and a best friend who is glued to her hip.

Sometimes, the perfect match is the one you least expect. ❤️
