Dear Harry (Aka Max)was rescued last year November from horrific circumstances busy dying on the streets when we were busy with one of our community outreaches. I scooped him up and he was like putty in my hands. Rushed him to my vet where we discovered he had prostate cancer and erhlichia. He also obviously had a bad case of sarcoptic mange. He was in a very bad way and it took us months to get him right with chemo and treatment. We kept him at the vet and at boarding kennels for months until we found him a home in JHB. He flew up and all went well but sadly Harry was returned due to him not working out with one or two of the dogs in the home already. Harry was amazing with the small child and most of the other dogs. He also loves a ball. We were able to put Harry at very good kennels in JHB where he has had some wonderful training and has been in the most amazing hands of Gareth Thomas at “A Floor of Dogs”. But Harry needs to leave by end of November latest as the kennels are full. He has now been in kennels for so long and although he has had a great time and had the best of the best, we truly need to home him urgently now and would prefer to keep him in JHB to cut out the stress of flying him back to CPT and also where he can be introduced to his new home whilst still at A Floor of Dogs. But if a wonderful home comes apparent down in Cape Town or Durban or PE, we are more than happy to fly him on one of our sponsored flights.
Harry is around 5 -6 years old. He is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, rabies and dewormed. He is also microchipped. He is an awesome companion dog that is extremely laid back and enjoys to be with his person most of the time. He will work fine in a home with a female that is not too alpha. He is good with children and can be taught to respect and live alongside chickens etc.
Please if you can be this home and want an excellent companion who will be very loyal and with a laid back attitude to life then Harry is your man! There is no adoption fee requested as we just want Harry to find his forever loving home, but a full adoption process will need to be followed and adhered to.
Please get in touch with me on 083 447 0979 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is beyond urgent please as Harry only has until end of November to find his forever home.
