Pepper & Bear are being homed due to emigration – their family feel that putting them through the flights will be too strenuous for them. Pepper is a pug crossed with pretty much everything. Bear is a cross miniature dachshund/Doberman Pincher.
Pepper is a little insecure and as such is cuddle bunny who thrives on physical attention and reassurance.
Bear is an extremely intelligent dog that thrives on stimulation, he can be a little mischievous at times but this is simply his way of ensuring you stay engaged with him. He is also fond of cuddles and physical attention, but only when he is in the mood.
Both dogs are really good with children. The family regularly enjoys a game of fetch in the garden.
Bear and Pepper love walks in the Park off leash, however they do tend to be a little boisterous around other dogs. Bear will typically lead the charge knowing his wing man Pepper is in tow. They never attack or get into fights with other dogs, but this way of “greating” often overwhelms other dogs, particularly when they are on a leash.
This behavior is however easily subverted, by the pack leader (me) greeting the other owner and walking away.
Pepper and Bear with their completely different characters do complement and complete each other. They have been together with us since 6 weeks and as such are joined at the hip.
They are neutered, vaccinated & dewormed. Housetrained & they walk well on a leash. Scared of storms, they would benefit in being part of a family who will help them feel safe during storms & fireworks.
