Being Bella

dsc_3985Hello there! Bella here, a resident at this funhouse called Dogtown. I am a very bouncy girl, always looking for new ways in which to have a great time. My life goal is to have as much fun as dogly possible. Lucky for me my caregiver has the same goal and together we have a blast every day! I can go on and on about all the things I enjoy and that is exactly what I’m going to do.

I love to play with a great variety of toys, from rope toys to rubber toys or any chew toy really. My favourite toy is my kong and I carry it with me wherever I go. I have mad skills in ripping anything to shreds so if you find some indestructible toy please send it my way.

I heard people say it is the small things in life that matters and those are very true words indeed. Like the tiny flies and grasshoppers and butterflies, they all really matter to me. They matter so much that I will bluntly stop my training session to run on after them and have a hunting class instead. I am a very successful hunter of bugs.

Speaking of training sessions, that is the best 10 minutes of my day. Personally I can’t focus any longer than that, but it is 10 minutes jam packed with games and treats and learning some neat things to help get me ready for my amazing future forever home.

dsc_3894TTouch sessions really calm me down. It’s like a day at the spa and I always end up flat on my back falling asleep while my caregiver gives me the world’s best massage. When the day feels a bit busy and the bustling just gets too much this is the only way to relax me.

I also enjoy leisurely strolls on our mountain. To get out and see the world, smell every bush, catch every leaf. We also take some well-deserved breaks on our walks to lie down in the shade and take in the scenery. Taking a ride in the car is also fantastic, until I find out the trip is to the vet… those are not my favourite trips.

dsc_4213Now that summer is finally here and the sun is out and blazing I have an amazing splash pool in my garden. Cooling off after walks or training is such a refreshing feeling. And I always treat my caregiver to a fancy mud bath after I had my soak. I simply can’t keep all this muddy fun all to myself. Sharing is caring.

Don’t even get me started on chow time! I am fortunate enough to be on the Doggy Chef raw diet. Meaty goodness served in a variety of tricky braintoys that make meal times a bit more exciting. Figuring out puzzles for food seems like a fair deal, and it keeps the gears in my head rolling. I also enjoy food stuffed in my Kong or anything covered in peanut butter.

As you can see every day here is just a giant adventure! Never a dull moment. Feel free to come and visit us and share in all our happy times here at this funhouse called Dogtown.
