Hello to all the Dogtown readers. Today I want to talk to you about one very, very special girl who is really close to my heart and her name is Mia. I also call her Mia Mooo because she loves to speak and Hoooowl when it’s time to eat he he. When you see this bundle of joy for the first time, the first thing you will see is the old scar marks she has on her face and a lot of people always ask how she got them, to be honest most of the time we get dogs in and we don’t really know their background of where they came from. BUT, I want to ask all our readers, is it really the scars on her face that we should feel sad about?…. We have amazing vets and specialists who can heal wounds and scars. The real question we should ask is how many heart scars does she and all the other rescue dogs have? Heart scars that no doctor can heal with medication or an operation. Someone once said that the scars you can’t see are the hardest to heal.
SOOO, the message Mia and I want to send out this month is that the outside can always heal but it’s the inside that leave scars and sometimes don’t fully heal. I encourage people to come to Dogtown and volunteer, spend time with our dogs and show them that not all people are scary or bad. All dogs have different heart scars, some dogs are scared of new people, some scared to be touched and others petrified of loud noises. Help them to heal their own personal heart scars just by spending a few minutes with them, you don’t have to do or say anything just sit with them and love them. If you come to meet Mia she will totally demand a cuddle and a few Smoochy kisses too. I am so honored to have the privilege to be her caregiver because she teaches me something new every day. Even though Mia has really deep heart scars she is always happy, it doesn’t matter what time of year or day. It gives me so much joy to see her happy, she appreciates all the small things in life and she lives for the moment. So, what are you waiting for?? Come and meet this stunning girl and tell her how pretty she is <3
Help us just by giving us a little bit of your time to help Heal Heart Scars…..
