Help a furkid in need

Oscar Roo

It’s only March and we’ve had our first few miracles of the year, our first one being our little Oscar Roo. Our facebook page has been ablaze, with the goings on of Oscar Roo. He was abandoned at our vet paralysed. For a while there, he had us worried, we weren’t sure whether he was going to regain his mobility. Although we thought he was paralysed due to malnutrition we weren’t sure and his progress was painfully slow in the beginning. In fact he actually got worse before he started to get better. Then one day we saw him lift himself up, then try and push his front legs to hold him in a sit and then, much to our joy and relief, he stood up, that’s when all the real fun began. No sooner could he stand, he was zipping around like a formula one car. Our daily visits to the vet went from casual doggy paddle sessions and cuddles to keeping a sharp eye on the little fella as he began to enjoy his freedom. Throughout his time when he was in recovery, we were amazed how happy and clean he was. Always waiting for his morning potty break to relieve himself and never messing in his hospital room. A fantastic treat for the lucky family who have adopted him, no need to go through the toilet training of their puppy, he was self taught and ready to head home. After a week of finishing school, with the Dogfather of Dogtown Buddy, he was ready to head on home. He has certainly fit in with his new family, having a great time with his fur siblings. I won’t lie, a few of us shed a few tears, when we had to say goodbye. He had become such a big part of our day. Go well or lil Oscar Roo, we love you forever<3
