MEET FRIKKIE – THE KING OF WORKING SMARTER, NOT HARDER! Durbanville, Cape Town Some dogs are busy bees. Others are professional couch potatoes. And then there's FRIKKIE… a little bit of both, but only when he feels like it! This gorgeous 5-year-old Labrador blend is a clever cookie who firmly believes that life is too short to waste energy unnecessarily! A behaviourist once suggested that Frikkie is simply too intelligent to put in effort unless he sees the point! He LOVES a good game and a run around, but why give 100% when 50% gets the job done? Sadly, Frikkie's world has been turned upside down. His beloved human mom passed away, and his dad is battling dementia and can no longer care for him and his bestie, Jan. These two boys are incredibly close, and our biggest wish is to find them a home TOGETHER. However, we understand that isn't always possible, so we're also looking for individual homes. A LITTLE MORE ABOUT OUR HANDSOME BOY: Couch lounging? Absolutely! Swimming? YES PLEASE! Playing? Definitely, when the mood strikes! Children? OH BOY! Frikkie absolutely lights up around them and can't wait to play! Cuddles? He's not a clingy chap, but once he trusts you, he'll happily settle beside you and enjoy your company. Frikkie grew up with a small senior dog and senior cat. However, we don't know how he'd respond to unfamiliar small dogs or cats, so introductions would need careful consideration. Frikkie isn't asking for much. A comfy couch, a swimming opportunity now and then, some fun with his humans and, hopefully, his best friend Jan by his side. He's already lost so much.
