MEET HARLEM – A LITTLE OLD MAN WITH A BIG HEART AND ONE VERY SPECIAL WISH! Johannesburg What if all you wanted in your golden years was a soft bed, a gentle cuddle and someone who would love you just the way you are? Meet Harlem, a precious 9 year old French Bulldog who has been through so much, yet still has so much love to give. Harlem is a little sweetheart who adores people, children and other dogs. He gets so excited to say hello that sometimes his tiny body struggles to keep up with his enormous enthusiasm! But life hasn't been easy for this darling boy. Harlem began having seizures in 2022. Over time, he lost full control of his back legs and became incontinent. Thankfully, his seizures have improved tremendously, with only one so far this year. These days, Harlem's idea of heaven is a peaceful home, a comfy spot to snooze and his favourite human nearby. He still enjoys little adventures in his buggy, but busy outings and too much excitement can cause breathing difficulties. Harlem's dream retirement home? - A calm, quiet home without young children. - Someone home for much of the day, ideally retired or working from home. - A patient, experienced family who understands his needs. - Someone happy to manage his nappies, puppy pads and medicated baths. - Gentle introductions, lots of cuddles and a lifetime of love. Please don't scroll past Harlem because he needs a little extra care. He doesn't know he's different. He doesn't know he's a senior with special needs. He only knows that being loved feels wonderful. Some dogs need adventures. Some need big gardens. Harlem just needs someone who will be his safe place. Surely, somewhere out there, is a special person who will look at this little face and say, "Come on, old boy. You're coming home." Let's give Harlem the beautiful retirement he deserves!
