Meet Leigh - Waiting Since 2022 ❤️ 📍 Dogtown - Gauteng Leigh's story began with heartbreak. She was rescued alongside her best friend, Bronwyn, after spending her life chained up, the heavy chains still attached to their collars when they arrived at Dogtown. Underweight, neglected, and deprived of the simple joys every dog deserves, Leigh had every reason to lose trust in the world. Instead, she chose love. Today, this beautiful 6-year-old Africanis blend is one of Dogtown's most overlooked treasures. Despite waiting since 2022 for a family to choose her, Leigh greets life with a wagging tail, a gentle heart, and an unwavering belief that her people are still out there. Leigh is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she's spending time with her humans. She loves attention and will gladly soak up every cuddle and ear scratch on offer. She also has a playful side and adores her toys, although she'll happily turn a stick into the best toy in the world if it means someone will join her for a game. She is a clever girl who enjoys training, sits beautifully for her meals, and walks wonderfully on lead. Leigh gets along well with other dogs and would fit beautifully into a home where she can be included as a valued member of the family. After years of waiting, Leigh isn't looking for perfection. She is simply looking for someone willing to give her what she's never truly had: a place to belong, a soft bed to call her own, and a family who will love her forever.
