The Right Home Is Worth Waiting For: Stitch & Lola’s Journey Home

For mother-and-daughter Toy Pomeranians Stitch (8) and Lola (7), finding a new home meant facing a difficult change. When their owner lost everything, the two dogs were placed into foster care. Knowing how important it was for them to remain together, their owner made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome them, hoping they could find the stable, loving forever home they deserved.

Knowing how important it was for them to remain together, their owner made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome them, hoping they could find the stable, loving forever home they deserved.

Waiting for the Right Family

Stitch and Lola were added to BarkingMad’s networking platforms, giving their story a chance to reach potential adopters and animal lovers looking for a new companion.

But finding a forever home for two adult dogs together can take time. Rather than separating them, the search continued for a family who would welcome both girls and give them the opportunity to begin their next chapter side by side.

For Stitch and Lola, the right home was worth waiting for.

With the help of BarkingMad’s network and supporters who share animals in need of homes, their story continued to reach new people. Eventually, it found its way to a wonderful family who had room in their hearts and their home for both dogs.

And then, the wait was over.

Stitch and Lola joined a family already filled with furry friends, where they could settle into their new lives together. Today, the two girls are happily at home, surrounded by companionship, care and the love they deserve.

Why Networking Matters

Stitch and Lola’s story is a reminder that a successful dog rehoming doesn’t always happen overnight. Sometimes, finding the right match takes patience, persistence and simply making sure the right people have the opportunity to see an animal in need.

While Stitch and Lola waited for their forever family, BarkingMad continued to share and network their story, keeping them visible and increasing their chances of being seen by someone who could offer them the future they deserved.

That is the purpose of BarkingMad’s networking platform: creating opportunities for animals in need of homes to be seen by the people who may be able to change their lives.

And sometimes, one share, one post or one person seeing their story can be the connection that leads an animal home.

For Stitch and Lola, that connection meant they didn't have to choose between finding a forever family and staying together. They found both.

Today, Stitch and Lola are enjoying life as beloved companions in a family that chose to welcome them exactly as they are: together.

We are incredibly grateful to every supporter who shares, comments on and engages with the animals we feature. Every interaction helps give animals in need another opportunity to be seen, and sometimes, it creates the life-changing connection that leads them home.

Because the right home is worth waiting for.

Welcome Home, Stitch & Lola. 🐾
